About Pastor La Quetta Simmons:

 

Pastor La Quetta Bush-Simmons, is ordained ministers who has been preaching and teaching the Gospel for 19 years. While serving at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Pomona, Ca for 29 years, she along with her husband, Pastor Kelvin Simmons followed the call of God to birth of a new ministry, Immanuel Praise Fellowship in Rancho Cucamonga California.

 

 

Pastor Simmons’s ministry focuses on helping God’s people develop a strong spiritual self-concept. She believes that spiritual empowerment happens when one realizes that they are more Spirit then they are flesh. One of her many passions calls her to reach out to and celebrate, young African-American youth, support and strengthen the African-American family and share in the success and sorrows of the larger African-American community.

 

She wears dozen of hats, but the one of wife to the Pastor Kelvin Simmons and the one of mother to Kandace Iman she is truly most proud to bear.

 

Professionally, La Quetta has led four non-profit organizations and has served in a leadership and advisory capacity for more than 11 cultural and service-oriented organizations. Named twice as the outstanding volunteer for the Pomona Valley Human Relation Council, Rev. Simmons was listed in the International Who’s Who of Professionals was award the prestigious Woman of Achievement from the YWCA, The Celebration of Excellence Award in Religion from the Inland Valley News, Assembly Member Bill Emmerson Woman of Distinction Award-, The Business Press News Magazine 2003 Leaders of Distinction Award for non-profit leadership and featured in the Apartment Professional Magazine, a national publication, as one 14 top women executives in the industry.

 

Pastor Simmons is a certified life coach, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Simmons Consulting and Training Services and author of her book titled’ Like Pure Gold: A Woman’s Handbook to Obtaining and Sustaining Holiness.”
