CEO of Biblical Films, Lamont A. Coleman, who is most recognized as the electrifying Reverend Waters on Tyler Perry’s hit television series "The Haves and the Have Nots" on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), has been writing and producing plays since 1996 with his wife Rosemarie Smith-Coleman and their repertory theatre company Coleman & Smith Artistic Company (COLSAC).  

 

Biblical Films Inc. first took off in 2008 with Coleman's first film, "In the Closet", a tale based on the book of Revelations in the Bible, which indeed won Best Religious Film at the 2009 San Diego Black Film Festival (SDBFF).  "Mama & Me", a documentary of how the Coleman family dealt with Mr. Coleman's mother's illness with Dementia, was the next runner up in the production book.  After "Mama & Me" won Best Documentary at the 2012 Las Vegas Film Festival. Little did he knew, that his next film, "In Da Cut", would have won him Best Religious Film, once again, at the SDBFF 2014.  

 

In the summer of 2013, Coleman decided to open up a children division through Biblical Films called The Film Factory.  The Film Factory was established to allow kids to explore their talents through both theater and film.  After a rushing success with that year's "Southern Girls" and "Diary of a Mad Theatre," Coleman decided to keep the program going full steam ahead!

 

In 2014, CEO, Lamont A. Coleman sought out to reach a buzz by releasing a promo that will show all his successes for just the first quarter of this year and before, with a surprise introduction of the company's new network brand, (BFN), at the end of the promo.  He envisioned that by releasing this new video promo that the hype of it would have producers racing to jump aboard with the company.  His vision was correct.  It wasn't long after the video's release when he had a total of eight different producers that had signed on contracts to complete his fall lineup.
